Senior League

Clontibret 2-9 Truagh 1-7 A good win in round 6 of the SFL on Saturday last and we now have Scotstown at O’Neill Park on Friday at 8pm.

Reserve B Football

Clontibret 2-15  Aughnamullen 0-12 A good away win on Tuesday night to keep a table top position with a two break before heading to Corduff on 27th June.

Reserve C Football

Next up is a league game in Blayney on Tuesday 20th June followed by the championship semi final with Latton on Friday 23rd June.

The late Paddy McGlynn RIP

Paddy McGlynn formerly of Glennyhorn passed away in Kildare last week. Paddy was goalkeeper on Clontibret senior team for much of the 1960’s and well into the seventies, with medals in both football and hurling including Eoin Ward Cup medals in 1964 and 1966 as well as a senior football championship in 1968. Sympathy is extended to his family in Kildare as well as his siters Patricia Brennan and Peggy Connolly and their families. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.

County Teams

Best wishes to the Monaghan senior team and management as they take on Donegal in the final round robin game of Group 4 in Omagh on Saturday at 6pm. Special mention also to the minors, including our own Nathan Coyle,  who defeated Mayo to reach an All-Ireland semi-final with Kerry.

U6s

Training continues this week at the same time of Friday evening at 6pm.

U7s

Blitz in Cloughan this Saturday with a 11.45am start. Management will be in touch with more details.

U9s

Training Monday at 6.30pm.

U11s

Training to continue as normal Monday 6.30pm & Thursday. Game this Saturday at home v Truagh at 11am. Congratulations also to this group who put in a tremendous performance at the Truagh tournament last Saturday. The boys were beat by the narrowest of margins by Blayney in the final of the cup. No mean achievement as this is attended by clubs from all over Ulster. A testement to both management and players.

U13s

Busy week ahead for this group. The second team are away to Magercloone on Wednesday with a 7.30pm start. The second team are also away to Truagh on Friday with a 7.30pm start. The first team are away to Clones on Saturday at 10am.

U15s

Training to continue this week Tuesday evening at 7pm.

U17s

Training Tuesday evening at 7pm and Friday evening at 7pm.
