Sean’s Notes
Bingo at Seans
Another great night of bingo but no jackpots won. However we still managed to give away €4000. Congratulations to all our players. Next week our main jackpot will be €10,300, and all other smaller jackpots are still in play. Make sure you get in early and get your books. Follow our promotions on Facebook with free book offers etc. If you have any queries, please message us on Facebook, email, etc, and we will assist in every way possible.
Intermediate League
Another home game on Friday last as Cremartin were our visitors. They had a number of wins under their belt and would represent strong opposition. A rejuvenated Seans team did not heed the form book and torn into the game with vigour and gusto. They matched Cremartin score for score and displayed great heart in competing for every ball. It was great to see Patrick Kieran returning to the squad after a long layoff, and he marked his opening game with a well taken goal just before halftime. This was coming on the back of an excellent penalty save at the other end by Ryan Connolly. A half time advantage of a one point was well deserved by the Seans. The second period started well with the same enthusiasm and drive. However as the half wore on injuries and tiredness began to creep in , and while our hunger never ceased we failed to convert chances. Cremartin managed to keep their points tally alive and eventually mastered a five point victory. A score line not totally reflective on the much improved performance by the lads which surely builds confidence for the next encounter against Castleblayney Faughs.
Sean Ógs
Another busy weekend as we hosted a blitz with Emyvale and Killeevan the visitors and we travelled to Cloghan for another. Compliments to parents and coaches, alike, for their great commitment to running blitzes so well, having the children at the games and supporting them each week. Also to the kids themselves for their great eagerness to play.
U11’s
Our U11’s had a tough tie at home to Emyvale on Saturday morning. Once again it was an enthralling game with end to end action. Well done to both teams.

Sympathy
The Club would like to extend sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Ann-Maire Islam (nee McConnon), London and formerly of Slieveroe, Stranooden, who passed away suddenly earlier this month. This was a shock to all the community and her months mind remembrance mass will be held on Saturday, 1st July in St. Michaels Church, Corcaghan at 7.30pm.
