Lotto: The lotto was held on Sunday night last. There was no winner. The numbers drawn were 3,12,25 & 29. This week’s jackpot rises to €7,600. You can purchase tickets either by buying envelopes from one of our young sellers or by logging on to our smart Lotto page through the link smartlotto.ie/aughnamullen-s.

John West Féile Peile na nÓg: The week has arrived and this Saturday our Under 15 boys will travel to Claregalway, County Galway to represent the county in the National Féile football competition. We are in Division 3 in a group with Portarlington (Laois), St Loman’s (Westmeath) & Mungret St Paul’s (Limerick). Our first game is against Mungret St Paul’s at 12.10pm (Pitch 2). Our second game is against St Lomans at 1.30pm (Pitch 2). Our final group game is against Portarlington at 2.50pm (Pitch 1). For supporters travelling to Claregalway, the pitch can be found at Knockdoemore, Claregalway, Co. Galway, H91 E7F4. On behalf of the club we want to wish the players and management the very best of luck on Saturday, we are all behind you.

 

Best wishes: As part of an action packed Saturday, the Monaghan Senior team take on Armagh in the All Ireland Quarter Final in Croke Park at 6pm. On behalf of the club we want to wish the team the best of luck, especially to our own representatives Micheál Bannigan, Kevin Sheridan and Joel Wilson and selector Gabriel Bannigan as they aim for a place in the Semi Final.

 

Seniors: Our Senior team take on neighbours Corduff away from home in the League this Friday evening at 8pm. Come along and show your support to the boys. Best of luck to the team and management.

 

Reserves: Our Reserves play away to Killanny on Tuesday the 3rd of July at 8pm. Come out and support the lads, best of luck to the team and management.

SAVE THE DATE: The OsKaRs fundraiser is coming to Aughnamullen GFC on Saturday the 7th of October 2023 in the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblayney! Keep the date free for what will be guaranteed to be a night not to be missed.

 

Juveniles:

Under 18s: Our Under 18s will take on Donaghmoyne in the Division 2 Final on Thursday the 6th of July at 7.30pm. The venue for this final is yet to be confirmed. Best of luck to the team and management.

 

Under 17s: With our County Minor team reaching a historic All Ireland Final, which is against Derry in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh, on Sunday the 9th of July at 1pm, all Under 17 fixtures will be postponed for the coming week.

 

Under 15s: Our Division 2 team drew away to Magheracloone in the first round of the Cup on Thursday evening last on a scoreline of 3-09 to 2-12. Our Division 5A team had a brilliant 1-22 to 3-14 win away to Scotstown on Friday evening. Our Division 5B were beaten at home by Killanny on Sunday morning on a scoreline of 2-14 to 1-09. They then travelled to Corduff on Tuesday evening, where they were beaten 3-13 to 1-06. Our Division 2 team are at home to Castleblayney in Round 2 of the Cup on Wednesday evening the 5th of July at 7.30pm. Our Division 5A team play at home to Truagh on Friday evening the 7th of July at 7.30pm. Our Division 5B next play away to Clontibret on Friday the 14th of July at 7.30pm. Best of luck to all teams and management. All support welcome.

 

Under 13s: Our Division 6 team host Clontibret in the Semi Final of the League this evening, Thursday at 7.30pm. Come along and support the lads. Best of luck to the team and management.

 

Speedy Recovery: The club would like to wish a speedy recovery to Caroline Geoghegan who was in hospital recently. We hope to see her back out and about in no time.

Reserve Ladies were beaten by Castleblayney on Friday night on a scoreline of 4:10-2:05.

 

Minors play away to Scotstown Thursday 29th of June at 7:30pm.

 

U16As had a comprehensive win over Geraldine’s on Monday night. Final score 6:16- 2:04

 

U16Bs proved to be the stronger side on Tuesday night against Sean McDermots. Final score 5:07-0:06.

 

U14As play Magheracloone Monday the 3rd of July at 7:30pm
