Lotto: The lotto was held on Sunday night last. There was no winner. The numbers drawn were 5,9,28 & 29. This week’s jackpot rises to €7,300. You can purchase tickets either by buying envelopes from one of our young sellers or by logging on to our smart Lotto page through the link smartlotto.ie/aughnamullen-s.

The Social Centre caters for all functions ie parties, christenings, funerals and small weddings! The Aughnamullen Social Centre is now taking bookings for all functions. For any more information on bookings please contact Tina on 0873332213.

 

Seniors: Our senior team play away to Latton this Friday the 9th of June at 8pm. Best of luck to the team and management, all support welcome.

 

Reserves: Our Reserves played at home to Inniskeen on Friday evening last, where they were beaten on a scoreline of 5-11 to 0-15. After racing into a 1-02 to 0-00 lead after 5 minutes, Inniskeen were comfortable throughout the game. Despite the boys’ best efforts to come back, the visitors’ ability to score goals proved to be the difference between the teams, with the scores sitting at 3-06 to 0-07 at half time. Two further goals in the final minutes saw Inniskeen run out commanding winners. They next play at home to Clontibret on Tuesday the 13th of June. Come out and support the lads, best of luck to the team and management.

SAVE THE DATE: The OsKaRs fundraiser is coming to Aughnamullen GFC on Saturday the 7th of October 2023 in the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblayney! Keep the date free for what will be guaranteed to be a night not to be missed.

 

Juveniles:

Under 18s: Our Under 18s will take on Donaghmoyne in the Division 2 Final on Thursday the 6th of July at 7.30pm. The venue for this final is yet to be confirmed. Best of luck to the team and management.

 

Under 17s: The Under 17 league commences on Monday the 19th of June when our Division 4 team travel to Kilmore to take on Scotstown at 7.30pm. On Tuesday the 20th of June our Division 2 team kickstart their league campaign at home to Donaghmoyne at 7.30pm.

 

Under 15s: Our Division 5B had a brilliant 3-11 to 1-10 win away to Latton on Wednesday evening last. They next play at home to Killanny on Sunday the 25th of June at 11am. Our Division 2 next play in Round 1 of the championship away to Magheracloone on Thursday the 22nd of June at 7.30pm. Our Division 5A team play away to Scotstown on Friday the 23rd of June at 7.30pm. Best of luck to all teams and management. All support welcome.

 

Under 13s: Our Division 6 team had a great win away to Clontibret on Friday evening last on a scoreline of 7-14 to 2-13. On Saturday morning our Division 2 team were beaten at home by Tyholland on a scoreline of 4-13 to 2-10. They then travelled to Clontibret on Tuesday evening, where they were narrowly beaten 2-15 to 3-09. Our Division 6 side take on Scotstown away this evening, Wednesday at 7.30pm. This Saturday the 10th of June our Division 2 side are at home to Clones at 11am, while our Division 6 team host Truagh at 2pm. Best of luck to both teams and managements. All support welcome.

 

Under 11s: The U11’s had two great games during the week against Cremartin & Castleblayney, where they showed great heart and passion well done to all.

 

Breakfast Morning: A brilliant morning was had on Sunday last as we held our annual breakfast morning, which was in aid of our Under 15 Féile team and all juvenile teams in the club. A huge thank you to the following people who sponsored food for a very successful breakfast morning. Pauric Duffy, PJ Markey, John Sheridan, Tom Leanagh, Owen Gorman, Lorraine Mc Nally, Daniel Duffy, Hugh Markey, Peter McKeown, Lakeland Dairies & Michael Mc Cabe. Your support is very much appreciated. A Big Thank you to Ollie Morrissey & Una Duffy for cooking the food. Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day to make it such a success.

 

Good luck: We want to wish all of our members who started the Junior and Leaving Cert exams the best of luck over the coming weeks

 

Birthday wishes: The club would like to extend birthday wishes to John Joe Gorman who turned 70 recently.

 

Speedy Recovery: We wish Paddy Marron a speedy recovery who recently sustained an injury. We hope to see Paddy back out and about at the games soon.

We also wish a speedy recovery to James Lambe following a recent injury.

Our 2023 Annual Summer Camp will take place from Tuesday the 8th of August to Friday the 11th. Another fun filled week is promised. More details to follow.

 

Ladies: U16Bs were beaten by Emyvale on Tuesday on a scoreline of 3:08-2:05.

U14As play away to Castleblayney Monday the 12th at 7:30pm.

U14Bs are playing away against O’Neills Tuesday 13th at 7:30pm.

U12s lost out to Latton on Saturday. They’re away to Aghabog Saturday at 11am.

 

Best of luck to Lucy Geoghegan, Ava Mooney and the county u14 team in the All Ireland final on Saturday in Clan na Gael Dundalk at 1.30pm. Please come and support the girls.
