Clontibret Notes

Senior League

Clontibret 2-10  Inniskeen 3-16

This game was lost in a fifteen minute spell in the first half leaving a mountain to climb in the second half. Some good performances though and some lessons to be learned for the future. Next up is Truagh at O’Neill Park on Saturday 10th June for a 7pm throw in.

Reserve B Football

Clontibret 1-13 Inniskeen 0-7

Despite a slow start the Bs had a good win over Inniskeen on Wednesday last to stay top of the table going into the second round with Killanny first up again at O’Neill Park on Wednesday night at 8pm.

Reserve C Football

The C team resume their league campaign with an away game in Rockcorry on Friday June 2nd at 8pm followed by a home game with Currin on Tuesday June 6th at 8pm.

Hurling

The seniors lost heavily to Inniskeen in the semi final of the Development Hurling league. Next up is the Cuchulain Cup starting with a home game on Wednesday June 7th . Best wishes to the Clontibret contingent Ossie, Aidan, Shane, Emmett and the Monaghan hurling team as they take on Lancashire in The Lory Meagher Cup final at Croke Park on Saturday.

Martin Fox U18 League

Well done to our Under 18 team who won the Division 1 league final at Emyvale on Monday night defeating Scotstown 1-14 to 2-7. In a very sporting contest the team started slowly but finished strong for a deserved four point win. Well done to JP, Ross and the players. The winning team was Cian Byrne (who brought off at least three magnificent saves), Fionnan Brennan, Aodhan Doyle, Jack Sullivan, Charlie Mone, Kealan McKeever, Stephen Hamill, Shaun Myers, Henry Kelly (captain who accepted the cup on behalf of his team), Luke Brennan (0-1), Nathan Coyle (0-1) Josh Lowey, Dara McGlone, Odhran Keenan (1-5) Darragh Keenan (0-3) Subs Evan Treanor (0-2) Daniel Boylan (0-1), Korey McSkeane, Stephen McSkeane, Charlie Gormley, Tomas O’Connor, Jack Brady, Adam Hall, Michael Renaghan, Caolan Boylan, Shane Connolly, Caolan Cawley, Peter Renaghan.

U6s

Training continues this week at the same time of Friday evening at 6pm.

U7s

Blitz this Saturday in Clontibret, time will be confirmed by management.

U9s

Training Monday at 6.30pm.

U11s

Training to continue as normal Monday 6.30pm & on Thursday is a home game v Harps.

U13s

Division 1 game v Tyholland away on Tuesday with a 7.15pm start. Division 6 game v Aughnamullen at 7.30pm on Friday evening.

U15s

Training to continue this week on Tuesday evening at 7pm.
