Tyholland Club Notes 27.04.2023

Slotto: Our Slotto Jackpot of €12,500 last weekend was not won! The numbers drawn were

1,9,20,22. Match 3 winners were Claire Bellew, Noel Farrelly, Marty McConnell, Niamh Collins, Kieran McKenna, Josie McQuaid who share in the €100 pot! Eurotech Junior League: Our Senior men’s first home game returned a positive result for us with a 2-16 to 0-12 win against Rockcorry. Well done to team and management and we look forward to travelling to Smithboro for their encounter with Éire Óg on Sunday 7th May at 2pm.

Reserves: Our Reserve men travelled to Doohamlet last night in the Crawley Cup. Results are on socials. They next meet Aghabog at home on Wednesday 10th for a 7.45 throw in.

Minors: Our U18 lads have had a big run of games these past few weeks and had great consecutive wins against Aughnamullen and Sean McDermotts. They welcomed Scotstown to St. Patricks Park on Monday and spectators enjoyed a very exciting match between the two sides. It was score for score for the most part and sadly resulted in a 1 point loss to our lads. They travel to Oram next Tuesday 2nd May for a 7.30pm throw in.

U15s: Well done to our U15s who had a good win against Monaghan Harps last Thursday. They welcome Truagh for a home game tonight (Thursday) at 7.30pm. Come show your support!

 

U13’s/U12’s: Our U13’s and U12 continue training.

 

U11’s: Our 11s continue training in preparation for their upcoming games..

 

Go Games: The Go Games are back this week and a great opportunity for our U11 and U9s to travel and welcome other clubs for blitzes over the next few months! This week our u9s travel to Ballybay for a 10am start. Good luck for the season ahead and thanks to all the coaches and parents who help out with our future stars!!

 

U7’s/U5’s: Training continues for this group every Thursday 6:30pm – 7:30pm. This session caters for boys & girls from 4-9 years of age. New faces are always welcome….spread the word! Please contact Alan Farrelly 086 3850435 if you have a child who may be interested in attending.

 

Ladies:

 

U16’s: The U16s welcomed Latton for their first home game of the season last Monday and secured a well earned win. Well done to all.

 

U14s: Good luck to our U14 caiiní who travel to Carrickmacross on Monday 8th for a 7pm throw in.

 

U10/8s: Our cailiní beag travel to Emyvale for their first blitz of the year on Saturday. Have fun all!!

Coaches: We are always looking for new members to get involved in coaching any of our teams and this year is no different. If you are interested in helping out, please give Peadar a

call on 086 8371117 to find out more. No experience is necessary so nothing is stopping you!!!

 

Club Guardian Programme: At this point members have received information about our Club Guardian Programme. We hope that where possible everybody will get behind the club on this next phase of development to continue the growth and success our club has seen in recent years. Committee members will be in touch soon as a follow up to the communication you have received but if you have any questions in the meantime or would like to become part of the programme, please contact our treasurer Maria on 00447739010135 or any committee member.

 

Healthy Club Initiative: We celebrated our involvement in the Healthy Club Project last Tuesday evening and a great evening was had by all who attended. We as a club are committed to promoting and maintaining mental health for all our members through the RESPECT philosophy. Ultimately we want you to enjoy the year- mind yourselves & mind each other.

 

First Aid Course: The club have secured another First Aid training course this year to run over 2 evenings: 16th & 25th May. If any parent has an interest in attending this course, please contact our Children’s Officer Grainne on 0868538757.

 

Walking Track: Our walking track remains CLOSED as we undergo maintenance works around the pitch. We respectfully ask that you adhere to this notice please. An update will be provided later in the week.

 

Tyholland Senior Gym: Our Gym is strictly for Senior registered players only. There have been a few incidents of non- members and U18s using the Gym and this is NOT permitted.

 

Membership: Any person who has not yet paid their membership for the coming year can contact club registrar Michelle. You can also pay online with the link on Facebook.

 

County: Good luck to Karl, Darragh and the Monaghan Senior team in the Ulster semi-final on Saturday at 5pm in Omagh.

 

Community Games: Art & Handwriting competitions will be held in Tyholland Community Centre on Saturday 29th April from 4-6pm.

 

Field Development: You will all have seen the first of our generous sponsors signs along the newly developed pitch. If anyone is interested in sponsoring a sign please contact Pauline on 086 8338044 or Maria on 0044 7739 010135 for more details.

 

Race Night: The community centre are holding a Race Night on Saturday 20th May to raise funds for the complex development and new kitchen. The community centre is at the hub of our community and we hope to see lots of support. Horses are €10 and races can be sponsored at €100 per race. You can buy at the bar or contact treasurer Louise on 0044 7821 554012.. It will be a super night folks so keep it free and see you there!!
