Intermediate League: A more cohesive Clones team who have played together over the last season or two, provided the opposition for the home side last Saturday evening in Tully. This was the first league game for a new look Emyvale team and management together and although the result did not go our way, we did create enough chances to win the game. This was a youthful side that took to the field, and they never shirked a challenge all game and will have learned a lot from that game. The next fixture is away to Doohamlet on Sunday.

Reserves: Next fixture is the Crawley Cup preliminary round v Eire Og on Friday 28th in Smithborough.

U17’s: training is every Tuesday and Thursday from 8pm to 9pm in Tully.

U15’s: training is every Monday and Wednesday from 6:50pm to 8pm in Tully. They had their second game last week v St Kevin’s, but not a good night for the lads. They are away this Thursday to Corduff , throw in is at 7:30pm.

U13’s: training starts Monday and Thursday nights from 7 to 8pm. Great team performance and solid win over Carrickmacross last week in the spring league. Well done lads. No game this weekend

U11’s: training is every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 8pm in Tully.

U7’s and U9’s: management will text everyone about training.

Inter-county news: Wow.. What a game on Sunday! Once again, the Monaghan Senior panel, with Karl Gallagher again putting in a massive shift, dug out a magnificent win over Tyrone in a nail-biting affair to set up a semifinal rematch against Derry. Well done to Karl and the team and management on another super performance.

Well done also to Mathew, Andrew and Johnnie and the Monaghan minor panel who had a good win v Fermanagh last weekend and again the 3 club lads all started the game, which was great to see, Mathew scored 1-01. Next round 3 game is this Saturday V Derry in Owenbeg at 1pm. It is not going to be an easy game – Again we wish the 3 lads and the Monaghan panel all the best this Saturday.

Unfortunately, the Monaghan U20 team backboned by Michael Hamill came up short against a well drilled Down team on the night. However, Monaghan threw the kitchen sink at Down and they were unfortunate that at least 4 or 5 goal chances did not go in for the lads and this would have turned the game on its head. A brave effort and well done to all on their Ulster run.

U15 County news: Adam Treanor and Harry Hamill are training every week with the country U15 panel. They are playing Derry on Saturday the 29th. Good luck guys.

Scor: Last Saturday brought the finals of the Ulster Scor Quiz to Emyvale as a fitting gesture of respect to the late Marion Donnelly. The event went extremely well and thank you to Fabian and everyone who helped out in any way.

Well done to U13 player Pauric Campbell, who was picked recently to play at half time in Omagh last Sunday when Tyrone Hurlers took on Derry. An Enjoyable day for Pauric and one to remember.

New Arrival: Congratulations to Jenna and William Carroll and family on the birth of your beautiful baby daughter and new little sister to one of our juvenile stars Danny recently, from everyone connected to the club.
