Under 11’s

On Saturday morning last, the Spring Leagues began for our teams as we welcomed both Castleblayney and Latton to Shamrock Park. Team 1 played out an exciting game against Latton. Cillian Murphy and Paddy McEneaney both shared the goalkeeping duties during the game with both making fine saves and finding their teammates with great kickouts. This strong performance was built on the defensive rocks of Gerry Carragher, Finn Murphy, Frank Hughes and Tommy Downey. In the middle of the field, Max Carragher, Doire O’Reilly and Dylan Hughes worked tirelessly to create chances for others while also taking some great scores themselves. In attack,

Jack Brennan, Elliott Spinks and Sean Casey were a constant threat to the Latton defence, sharing a number of goals and points between them. Team 2 were in another entertaining game against Castleblayney. Jack Brennan started in goals making some great saves. Cremartin defenders Aronas Mackevicius, Tommy McBennett, Michael Morgan and Ethan McGarry defended tirelessly and made the Blayney forwards earn every score they got. Ronan Boyd, Ryan Smith and Tom Sheridan showed great energy in the middle of the field, setting up attacks and stopping the supply of ball to the Blayney forwards. The forward line of Jamie Carragher, Finn Flanagan, Ethan McKiernan and Liam Walker ran the Castleblayney defence ragged with some lovely interplay and score taking.

Under 20’s

Best of luck to Connor Eccles, Stephen Mooney, Oisin Branigan, Philip McNally and Ciaran Branigan and the Under 20’s team and management who are playing Down in the semi final on Wednesday 12th April in Newry at 7.30pm.
