What a Weekend
Major congratulations to the Monaghan team and management on a wonderful victory in Omagh last Sunday, especially our clubmen in management Vinny and Marty Corey and players Conor McManus ( Man of the Match with nine points), Conor Boyle, Killian Lavelle, Francis Hughes and Darren McDonnell. A step on the way in the Ulster campaign with Derry coming up in the semi final on Saturday week. The weekend began in style for the senior club team also with a good away win in Magheracloone in the first game of the league playing without four of our county players.
Senior League
Clontibret 1-8 Magheracloone 0-3
A convincing win in the end in Magheracloone on Saturday last in a low scoring game on their new pitch. This weekend we welcome Intermediate double winners from last year, Corduff, to O’Neill Park on Sunday for a 2pm throw in.

With the seniors taking precedence for the next couple of weeks the next outing for this team is at home to Blayney on April 30th in the O’Duffy Cup.

Next up is away to Carrick on Saturday, April 22nd at 7pm followed by a home game with Truagh on Wednesday, May 3rd with a McKeown Cup quarter final playing the winners of Carrick v Currin also to be fitted in.
Hurling
Following on from a home defeat by Inniskeen last week the hurlers have a bye this week in the Development League.

Well done to Dessie Mone who successfully completed the Ulster GAA skydive on Friday last. Dessie survived the dive unscathed but then succumbed to a nasty shoulder injury in the senior league match in Magheracloone on Saturday evening. Get well soon Dessie.
