Reserve B Football
Clontibret 1-10 Corduff 0-6
A solid performance against visitors Corduff and despite a slow start the boys fought back to level before half time having played into a stiff breeze. Corduff scored first in the second half but as the game progressed the leadership of some of the experienced players combined with the pace of the younger boys ensured a comfortable victory, with Jack Flynn sealing it by lobbing the keeper. With the seniors taking precedence for the next couple of weeks the next outing for this team is at home to Blayney on April 30th in the O’Duffy Cup.

Club 240
A big thank you to everyone who have set up new standing orders or paid their 240 online directly into the bank. This is greatly appreciated, as our ability to show our income stream, and club member numbers will hopefully help us get the much-needed Sports Capital grant funding required to carry out floodlighting to our new pitch.
We are appealing to everyone who uses our facilities and supports the club, to set-up their €20 monthly standing order, or pay €240 directly into our bank, or to any promoter. All payments made, or standing orders set up this week will be entered into a big cash prize Easter Draw.
Registration
Registration is now overdue for renewal and all players at all levels and codes must be registered for 2023 before partaking in training sessions or games in order to be covered for the Player Injury Fund. All members, including non-players must renew immediately.
County Teams
Best wishes to our players and managers involved with county teams over this busy period, Nathan Coyle with the minors (who had a good win over Down at the week end), Aaron Carey and Paul Curran with the Under 20s (who play Down in Ulster semi final on Wednesday) Arthur Hughes, Aidan Morgan, Shane McNally and Emmet Walsh with the senior hurlers ( who play Leitrim in Lory Meagher Cup at Clontibret on Sunday). Highlight of the weekend is of course the Ulster Senior Football quarter final in Omagh on Sunday at 4pm. Best wishes to our players Conor McManus, Conor Boyle, Killian Lavelle, Francis Hughes and Darren McDonnell along with Manager Vinny Corey and Trainer Martin Corey all of whom continue to play such important roles in Monaghan’s success so far and let’s hope that continues on Sunday.
