Scor na nÓg Ulster Finals
Congratulations to all the clubs who took part in finals on Saturday last. Well done to all winners as they progress to the All Ireland stages. Hard luck to our wonderful Ballad Group who missed out on a place but who gave a tremendous performance on the day. This was a huge event for the Club and once again this was undertaken with meticulous planning and executed on the day with terrific precision. None of this work was possible without the time and energy of the Executive Committee, sub-committees and genuine club volunteers. The Club cannot thank, all those, enough who helped in any way during the days before the performance and on the day of the event. Being able to comfortably host a large scale event like this is a massive achievement. Well done to all.
Intermediate League Round 1
Our seniors opened the league campaign with an away game to Killanny. With some individuals injured and not available it gave a good opportunity for the newer players to be drafted in. It was a balanced first half with neither side setting the word alight but gauging each other’s strengths. The hosts took single point lead into the break. Killanny continued to tag on points from frees in the second period , however we found it hard to get scores and as a result were too far behind despite a late rally. A five point defeat was the result but still early days as we continue to make improvements. Next up is a home tie with Toome on Sunday.
U15’s
