Last Man standing competition.

Congratulations to Pat Connolly Connons, who was the outright winner of this competition. Pat was the only person who got through each round and predicted Monaghan to finish on six points. A big thank you to Aoife North who ran and co-ordinated this competition.

National League

Well done To Vinny and all the Team for the excellent performance against Mayo which secured division 1 football for the tenth consecutive year. Another fantastic escape and with Tyrone securing victory over Armagh the celebrations began.

Monaghan Ladies

Monaghan ladies secured Division 2 status for the forthcoming season, despite loosing by two points to Westmeath, so well done to Kieran and all the Team.

Referees.

We are actively looking to recruit referees as to date we have no one in the club and going forward we must have at least one. Full training will be provided. This position is open to both Male & Females, and you are paid each time you referee a game. This may be of interest to students, or anyone with a few free hours at the weekend. Please spread the word and if any interest please Contact Club Secretary on email secretary.currin.monaghan@gaa.ie

Reserves

Our reserve team unfortunately had to concede home advantage last Saturday evening due to our pitch been unplayable. The lads put in a good performance in the first half but the Second half Castleblaney took their scores while Currin were much more wasteful and made to many mistakes. Final score Castleblaney 2-12 v Currin 0-11
