50/50 Draw for February takes place on the last Friday of the month, Feb. 24th You can get your February entry through our normal channels, by following the Clubforce link https://member.clubforce.com/memberships_cart_m.asp?LL_ID=2767&intMF_ID=7833#Anchor. Alternatively you can get an entry by Revoluting €10 to bbol123 putting your name and contact telephone number in the note. If you would prefer to enter through cash, you can do so through any committee member who will be happy to get your entry included. Good luck!

Last Man Standing Premier League Competition has begun with Everton causing an upset for a few participants but not for two members in particular!! Best of luck for the rest of the season.

 

 

Membership at a recent club meeting the following rates were agreed on: Juvenile €25, Juvenile Family €50, Adult €30 and Cairde €120. Registration is now taking place and to kickstart the process, there will be a draw for free membership for any member who registers before Fri 24th. You could be lucky!

 

Volunteers the club is actively encouraging anybody who might be interested in helping out with our underage teams. Please contact Coaching Officer, David Connolly on 086 2517407 for further details.

 

U7’s are training this week in advance of their Ulster Regional Indoor Hurling Blitzes in DKIT Sports Arena on this Saturday 11th, 12-2pm. Any child born 2016 & 2017 looking to join our U7’s can contact David 0862517407 for further details. Our U9’s have their DKIT blitz the following Saturday 18th Feb

Dates for the blitzes are as follows:

 

U7 – 11th Feb 12-2pm

U9 – 18th Feb 12-2pm

U11 – 25th Feb 12-2pm

 

U7 – 11th Mar 12-2pm

U9 – 18th Mar 12-2pm

U11 – 25th Mar 12-2pm

 

U11’s Hurling training resumes on Monday 13th February in Castleblayney College gym from 7.30 – 8.30pm. €2 per child to cover cost of hall. Child to bring own hurl, helmet and water bottle.

 

U-13 hurling training resumes on Wednesday 15th Feb in the Boys School Astro turf from 6-30 to 7-30. Ulster GAA indoor hurling blitz n Meadowbank Arena in Magherafelt on Saturday 4th March.

 

Sympathy is extended to club treasurer, Benny Bolger and juvenile player, Liam and the extended family on the passing of Benny’s Dad, Barty Bolger, Bunclody Co. Wexford. Sympathy also to club chairman, Paddy McArdle and family on the passing of his aunt, Paul(ine) Finlay, Ballybay. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.

 

Monaghan Hurlers made a winning start to their League campaign in Clones last Saturday against Fermanagh. They meet Armagh this Sat, 11th Feb in the Athletic Grounds at 2pm. Best wishes to the team, the Blayney contingent and to club man, Niall Garland who is Joint captain with Inniskeen’s, Kevin Crawley.

 

Congratulations to Jodie McQuillan & Hazel Hughes on their All Star selection Ulster Club team. Well done girls.

 

Garda vetting: Castleblayney Hurling Club is committed to the welfare and protection of all our members.
