50/50 Draw for February takes place this Friday Feb. 24th You can get your entry through our normal channels, by following the Clubforce link https://member.clubforce.com/memberships_cart_m.asp?LL_ID=2767&intMF_ID=7833#Anchor. Alternatively you can get an entry by Revoluting €10 to bbol123 putting your name and contact telephone number in the note. If you would prefer to enter through cash, you can do so through any committee member who will be happy to get your entry included. Good luck!

A big thank you to all those who continue to support us every month, it is much appreciated.

Membership at a recent club meeting the following rates were agreed on: Juvenile €25, Juvenile Family €50, Adult €30 and Cairde €120. Registration is now taking place and to kickstart the process, there will be a draw for free membership for any member who registers before Fri 24th at 6pm, the draw will take place alongside the 50/50 draw. Volunteers the club is actively encouraging anybody who might be interested in helping out with our underage teams. Please contact Coaching Officer, David Connolly on 086 2517407 for further details.

U7’s continue training this Wednesday 6-7pm in Castleblayney College gym.

Any child born 2016 and 2017 looking to join our U7s can contact David 0862517407 for further details.

U9’s started their season in style last Sat with a blitz in DKIT. They showed great skill against Knockbridge, Clonduff, Craobh Rua, Warrenpoint & Newry. Well done to everybody.

Dates for future blitzes are as follows:

U11 – 25th Feb 12-2pm

U7 – 11th Mar 12-2pm

U9 – 18th Mar 12-2pm

U11 – 25th Mar 12-2pm

 

U11’s continue training on Monday nights in Castleblayney College gym from 7.30 – 8.30pm. €2 per child to cover cost of hall. Child to bring own hurl, helmet and water bottle. They will have their first blitz in the DKIT Sports arena this Dat Feb 25th at 12pm.

U-13 training continues on Wednesdays in the Boys School Astro turf from 6-30 to 7-30.

We have entered an Ulster GAA indoor hurling blitz in Meadowbank Arena, Magherafelt on Saturday 4th March. More details to follow.

U15’s continue training from 6.30 to 7.30pm on Mondays at the Boys School Astro turf.

Monaghan Hurlers meet Louth in Entekra Monaghan GAA Centre of Excellence on Sunday 26th Feb at 12.30pm. Come out and support the team in their efforts to continue their winning ways on Sunday.

Condolences to the extended Brennan family on the death of their mother, Lucy, late of Killycard. Lucy’s late husband, Joe was very active in the club in his day and the Juvenile Player of the Year trophy was named in his honour. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.

 

 

Garda vetting: Castleblayney Hurling Club is committed to the welfare and protection of all our members.
