Handball: Congratulations to Dylan Mc Kenna who won the U17 Handball Championship Final played in St. Mellans last Sunday. This was an epic battle against Ethan Mc Carron, Monaghan Harps which went all the way. Dylan won the first game but had to serve 6 game points before he got over the line. Ethan then won the second game after changing serve and tactics which brought the match to a tie breaker, first to eleven. Dylan started strongly having found his rhythm again but once more Ethan came back to level and go ahead. It was tit for tat and Dylan found himself trailing 10 – 8 facing match point. He called a time out, refocused and won the next 3 points to win the match. A fantastic match and hard luck to Ethan who battled so hard to take home the title but well done Dylan, a fantastic achievement.
