50/50 Draw for January took place last Fri 27th with Paul Murphy scooping the jackpot of €430, congrats Paul, a good start to the New Year. Alternatively you can get an entry by Revoluting €10 to bbol123 putting your name and contact telephone number in the note. Last Man Standing Premier League Competition why not try your luck with this. Closing date is this Thursday 2nd Feb at 5pm with the first week fixtures commencing on Fri 3rd Feb. Membership at a recent club meeting the following rates were agreed on: Juvenile €25, Juvenile Family €50, Adult €30 and Cairde €120.

Volunteers the club is actively encouraging anybody who might be interested in helping out with our underage teams. Please contact Coaching Officer, David Connolly on 086 2517407 for further details.

U7/U9/U11 Ulster Regional Indoor Hurling Blitzes in DKIT Sports Arena in February and March 2023 organised by Oisin MacManus RDHO.

Dates for the blitzes are as follows:

U7 – 11th Feb 12-2pm

U9 – 18th Feb 12-2pm

U11 – 25th Feb 12-2pm

 

U7 – 11th Mar 12-2pm

U9 – 18th Mar 12-2pm

U11’s Hurling training resumes on Monday 13th February in Castleblayney College gym from 7.30 – 8.30pm. €2 per child to cover cost of hall. Child to bring own hurl, helmet and water bottle.

U-13 hurling training resumes on Wednesday 15th Feb n the Boys School Astro turf from 6-30 to 7-30. Ulster GAA indoor hurling blitz n Meadowbank Arena in Magherafelt on Saturday 4th March.

Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Mai Geoghegan, late of The Central Hote, Castleblayney who was buried last week. Mai is mother of Michael, Vice President of Ulster Council and also great-grandmother to juvenile players Mark Comiskey & Joey Toal. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Fundraiser for Gary Casey Toome CLG are organising a charity 6km Run/Walk for Gary Casey taking place at 10am on Sunday 5th February 2023. We are encouraging as many club members and supporters to support this very worthy cause.

Garda vetting: Castleblayney Hurling Club is committed to the welfare and protection of all our members. As part of this commitment the club requires all coaches, training assistants and volunteers who are associated with our underage teams to comply with the legal requirement to have Garda vetting.
