Our thoughts during these celebrations will certainly be of the Late Philip Traynor of All Boro Flooring who selflessly offered up so many hours helping out in the Centre and extended his friendship to so many people.

We will also be celebrating Niall McKenna from Truagh and Rockland who was recently honoured as an ambassador for the Centre and wish Niall all the very best in this new chapter.

For the past twenty-five years, the Aisling Irish Community Center has served as the heart of the New York Irish Community and beyond.  The Aisling Center is proud to remain an important first stop for newly-arrived Irish immigrants and a source of support for our broader community.

“We pride ourselves on being responsive to both the community’s needs and cultural interests by offering a broad range of programs and classes. Our programs appeal to all age groups, from our toddler music and play groups to our Young at Heart senior group. Youth programs include art classes; Irish language, music, and dance classes; karate classes; and a fun and immersive Celtic Summer Camp experience. Our Young at Heart group enjoys twice-weekly lunches, wheelchair yoga, book clubs, and monthly card games. And, for those in between, we offer yoga, Zumba, our Team Aisling fitness club, and frequent community events. We prioritize helping newly-arrived Immigrants adjust to life in New York and find housing and jobs, and we look after the community as a whole by offering counseling, a home base for weekly AA meetings, and many mental health and wellness workshops”.
