Monaghan GAA along with Monaghan GAA New York and the Rockland club have had a very unique vibrant, and strong connection over the years and we have now come together for this exciting challenge.
Monaghan GAA – Acorn Life ‘Farney go Rockland Siamsa Challenge 2021’
The Monaghan GAA’s cultural committee have been working extremely hard behind the scenes and are happy to announce this venture for March. Commencing on March 01st and running right through until March 31st. this initiative is open to young and old, whether you have a GAA background or not. No matter where you are in the world, you can become involved.
So, what do you need to do to participate?
Simply submit a video, no longer than two minutes of you, or your family, Dancing, Singing, Playing Musical Instruments, reciting a story or Poem, Story-telling, or providing information on a local monument in your area, or anything of historical or cultural content that you would like to share with us.
With Seachtaine na Gaeilge running from 01st through to the 17th March, we look forward to seeing Irish language entries, in recognition of this event.
You can submit as many entries as you like. You can submit your entry to your club secretary or to irishculturalofficer.monaghan@gaa.ie
All Entries will be shared on Monaghan GAA’s media platforms’, so this aims to be a source of super entertainment for everyone in the month of March.
As restrictions remain on our ability to get together in sport, the aim of this challenge is to bring us together in culture.
Members of the county cultural committee will be in touch with officials from clubs throughout the county and will be available for any clarification that is required.
We are relying on you, our grassroots to ensure the success of ‘Farney go Rockland Siamsa Challenge. So please Push it, Promote it, and Participate in it.
We hope that this will, in some small way help to lift the hearts of everyone in our parishes, towns, counties, country and in Irish Communities across the world.
