The GAA’s National Panel of Gaelic Football & Hurling Referees would like to come together as a team of 72, to support all the wonderful work of Pieta House, Preventing Suicide and Self Harm
Saturday May9th 2020 would have been the original date for Darkness into Light as well as the first full weekend of the Hurling & Football Championships.
Our plan is, over the course of Saturday 9th May, to complete a virtual All Ireland Championship Run
Starting at Wexford Park, on to Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork up to MacCumhaill Park, Ballybofey, Donegal & finally back to Croke Park.
A ROUND TRIP OF 810KM !!!
With 72 Referees, the average run would be 11.2km, also a typical distance ran in a Senior Intercounty Championship Match by a referee!
Follow our journey with updates on our GoFundMe page and under the #RefereesRunForPietaHouse where referees will post a selfie after their run, on social media.
