This workshop will cater for coaches of U11 -17 age groups.
U11/13 Skill Development
This section of the workshop will be delivered by Ronan Mc Williams (Kildare Senior Hurling Coach)
Focus of the session: Developing Hurling Skills Using the Family of Games
– Using and adapting wall games, Target games, Court games & Small Sided Games to develop the skills of hurling for under-age players.
U15/17 Youth Development
This section of the workshop will be delivered by Martin Fogarty (National Hurling Game Development Manager)
Focus of the session: Essential elements of a coaching session for youth development players.
– Skill development, game scenarios. Video analysis-based session on why we coach.
