Thanks to everyone for their support for our Lotto, which has now played a critical role in our club’s funding for 25 years.

AGM: The club’s Annual General Meeting takes place in our clubhouse tomorrow night (Thursday, November 28) at 7.30pm.

Elaine Tate: Elaine Tate is a primary-school teacher from Rockcorry. Married to Anthony, with three children – Ava (13), Patrick (11) and Fionn (8) – Elaine was diagnosed in 2014 with Stage 4 Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma (kidney cancer). Surgery and ongoing chemotherapy were required to keep the cancer stable. Unfortunately, in July 2019, Elaine took a rare reaction to one of the chemo medications leading to paralysis from the waist down. She is now confined to a wheelchair. Monaghan will play Cavan in Clones this Sunday, December 1, with any monies raised going toward much-needed adaptations to Elaine’s home to give her more independence on her road to recovery. Tickets can be purchased from Dónal Sherry (086 2336159) and the club would like to encourage members to support this worthy cause.

Scór na nÓg: The club’s winning acts in the county Scór na nÓg competitions will represent Monaghan at the Ulster semi-final in Stradone, Co Cavan on Sunday week, December 8 at 2pm. Ádh mór ar gach duine.
