What a night in the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan on Wednesday last when Monaghan GAA honoured and celebrated club volunteers at our 3rd Annual Volunteer Recognition & Appreciation Night.
The huge crowd that attended the event is a testament to the value and the importance we hold for all our volunteers. We were all inspired as this group all had one thing in common and that is they all give selflessly of their time to help our clubs and help in our community. We heard some incredible stories from our MC, Monaghan GAA Development Officer Michael Carroll about what some volunteers do to help make our Association what it is today.
For this reason we were delighted to have the unique opportunity for us to say “thank-you” to some of our Gaels who do extraordinary things within their club and ask for very little in return. Uachtarán Comhairle Uladh Oliver Galligan with members from the Monaghan GAA Management Committee presented the awards to our worthy recipients.

Volunteers are the life and soul of our Association and what we do as an organisation
is made possible thanks to the incredible volunteer force who go about their “jobs” each
day, not looking for accolades, not wanting a pat on the back….but they continue to do their
“jobs” because they want to make a difference
