Monaghan Coaching & Games delivered an U7 all county GR8 Go Games blitz in St Tiarnach’s Park, Clones on Saturday 27th July.

On the day we had 22 clubs take part, clubs who attended were Aughnamullen, Aghabog, Ballybay, Castleblayney, Clontibret, Carrickmacross, Corduff, Cremartin, Clones, Donaghmoyne, Eire Og, Emyvale, Monaghan Harps, Sean McDermotts, Scotstown, Tyholland, Magheracloone, Inniskeen, Killeevan, Currin, Latton and Drumhowan.

The blitz was 7 a side with a two touch rule. 7 a side meant the kids had more space to perform and execute skills while getting plenty of touches of the ball. The two touch rule helped with passing & teamwork.

The coaches also officiated the games to encourage more coaching throughout the game. A special mention must go to all coaches for doing a fantastic job.

This was a great opportunity for our kids to play on the hallowed turf of St Tiarnach’s Park. These kids go to watch their heroes play for their clubs and county in Clones so it was a brilliant chance for them to play there themselves. We hope the kids and mentors enjoyed their day in Clones and we look forward to welcoming them back again next year.

Massive thanks to the ground staff in Clones for the pitch looking absolutely brilliant. It was a great experience for all.

Huge thanks to the coaches and players for attending our go games blitz and making it a huge success.
