Corduff V Killanny @ 1pm Corduff

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U 13 Division 3 Cup Final. Carrickmacross was the venue for last Saturday’s U13 Division 3 Cup Final between Corduff and Killanny. This was certainly a game of 2 halves with Corduff the dominant force in the first half whereas Killanny turned the game around in the second half. By the interval Corduff has a nice cushion of 4 points on a scoreline of 2-3 to 0-4. Killanny came out on fire in the second half and soon drew level with Corduff. Despite Pater Connolly scoring 3 goals it wasn’t sufficient to stop Killanny steam rolling to an easy victory. Disappointment is a bitter pill but the boys can hold their heads high as they proudly represented their club. The team was Dillon Conlon, Micheal Murtagh, Micheal Hand, Christopher Corrigan, Shane Courtney, Fergal McEnaney, Jamie McNally, Cian Rafferty, Harry O’Reilly, Peter Connolly, Gerard Corrigan, Daithi Hegarty, Shane Hand, Jack Smith, Oliver Chorchel and Oisin Mee and I’m sure we’ll see lots more of these boys in the future. Thanks to management for their hard work and dedication in getting this team to the final.

The club would like to acknowledge the sponsorship of Patrick McEnaney of The Local Westport who sponsored half zip tops, John Joe who sponsored training tops and a massive thank you to Nora Hegarty and The Fiddlers on their sponsorship of post match meal for the team and management. Remember to support those who support the club.
