Electric Ireland Ulster Minor Football Championship Semi-Final
Monaghan 5-10 Donegal 2-11 21/6/19
Monaghan qualified for another Ulster MFC Final when they put a slow start behind them to defeat Donegal in Enniskillen last Friday. A brace of goals from Carlos O’Reilly helped Donegal get off to a flyer, but majors from Liam McDonald (two) and Jason Irwin had Monaghan level (3-5 to 2-8) by half-time. Sub Tiarnán Kearns punched to the net after the restart as Monaghan put in a much more complete second-half performance, which was capped when McDonald completed his hat-trick on 52 minutes.
Monaghan face a rematch with Tyrone in the final in a fortnight’s time (fixture TBC).
