By Majella Boyd Mon 24th JunMonaghan GAA together with their Players, Clubs, Supporters and Gaels wish to express our sincere gratitude to our former manager Malachy O Rourke, and his dedicated backroom staff of Ryan Porter, Leo McBride, Colin McAree and Owen Lennon as they step down from the management of the Monaghan Senior Team.
This journey over the last seven years with Malachy and his team has given the people of Monaghan a lifetime of very happy and cherished memories. During this time, we not only have witnessed, but very proudly celebrated 2 Ulster titles in 2013 and 2015; National Football League titles in Division 2 (2014) and Division 3 (2013); 6 All-stars awards and 24 Ulster All Star awards and for the majority remained in Division 1 of the National League under Malachy’s leadership.
Monaghan people worldwide who will reminisce about that glorious day in Salthill last Summer, will always fondly remember Malachy and his team, as the management who led our team and county to a semi-final of an All Ireland for the first time in 30 years. As Monaghan remain in Division one of the National League in 2020 for the 6th consecutive year we sincerely thank you so much Malachy, and all your team.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir!!
