On a big weekend for Monaghan county teams, the weekend’s club schedule centres around the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football Championships. Three of the O’Duffy Cup quarter-finals are down for decision on Friday night, with Aughnamullen, Donaghmoyne and Killanny at home to Truagh, Magheracloone and Castleblayney, respectively. Holders Scotstown face Ballybay on Sunday.
Friday’s Crawley Cup fixtures are Corduff v Carrickmacross, Cremartin v Inniskeen and Doohamlet v Monaghan Harps, with Aghabog hosting Drumhowan on Sunday.
Scotstown and Tyholland host Rockcorry and Oram, respectively, in the McKeown Cup on Friday, with Seán McDermotts travelling to Castleblayney on Sunday.
The U-17 and U-15 Football Leagues continue this Tuesday and Thursday, while Thursday also features round five of the Silver Hill Foods Development Hurling League. Joint-leaders Castleblayney and Truagh face off, while Clontibret, Mattock Rangers and Monaghan Harps host East Cavan Gaels, Latton and Carrickmacross, respectively.
