Allianz National Football League Division One
Tyrone 1-16 Monaghan 0-12 23/2/19
Monaghan fell to their third straight defeat in the Allianz NFL when they fell away in the second half against Tyrone in Omagh on Saturday night. A goal from the hugely influential Peter Harte separated the teams at the end of an open and well-contested first half, but Tyrone took increasing control after the restart, finishing with eight players on the scoresheet.
Harte finished with 1-6 as Tyrone earned their first win of the campaign, which saw them leapfrog Monaghan into sixth place. Seven points from Conor McManus couldn’t inspire Monaghan, who will need a much better performance when they travel to Kerry next Sunday.
