Monaghan make an early start to their 2019 Dr. McKenna Cup campaign with an opening-round Section B fixture against Antrim in Clones on Saturday (please note change of date).

Malachy O’Rourke has named a team with a combination of experience and youth for this game, featuring prospective debutant Jamie Walshe and a first county appearance in almost two years for his Doohamlet team-mate Barry McGinn. Another newcomer, Carrickmacross forward Stephen O’Hanlon, is named among the substitutes. Antrim can call on the likes of Mark Sweeney, Ryan Murray, Patrick Gallagher, Patrick McBride, Stephen Beatty and Matthew Fitzpatrick.

Armagh have already started Section B with a high-scoring win over St. Mary’s University.
