Maguire International Minor Football Championship Division Two Final Replay
Seán McDermotts 3-14 Doohamlet 2-14
Seán McDermotts won the MFC Division Two in an entertaining Final Replay against 14-man Doohamlet at Gavan Duffy Park last Saturday. The Seáns led from start to finish after an early goal from captain Oisín McKenna and with Jack O’Hanlon and Josh Hagan also finding the net, they were comfortable for much of the game, going eight points up on a few occasions during the second half. Despite having had Hugh Brennan sent off, Doohamlet continued to plug away and a spirited finish – inspired by Jason Irwin – saw them close within a goal, but it wasn’t enough for the league winners to complete a double.
