Maguire International Minor Football Championship Division One Final
Carrickmacross 1-8 Inniskeen 0-11
The MFC Division One Final goes to a replay, like the Division Two decider, after Carrickmacross and Inniskeen couldn’t be separated in Clones last Sunday.
Carrickmacross raced into a six-point lead, with Niall Bermingham getting the goal, but after not scoring for the first 20 minutes, Inniskeen got a foothold in the game by kicking five points between then and the end of the first half. Five points from Donnach Swinburne had Carrick three up going into the final quarter, but points from Seán Jones and Andrew Woods brought Inniskeen level. The Grattans had a great chance to win it deep into added time, but Carrick keeper Robbie McCloskey made a fine double save to deny Dylan Mulholland.
