Scotstown qualified for their sixth consecutive SFC Final and moved within one win of a potential four-in-a-row of county titles when they held off a strong challenge from Magheracloone in Clones on Sunday. Scotstown raced into a 1-4 to 0-0 lead, with Francis Maguire palming to the net, but goals by Liam Óg Murray and Peter Ward kept Magheracloone in contention, leaving them within two points at half-time (1-10 to 2-5).
Scotstown maintained a narrow lead throughout the second half, with Kieran Hughes coming off the bench to become a seventh scorer of the game for the holders, who will face Ballybay in the decider.
