McElvaney Waste & Recycling Intermediate Football Championship Round 2A
Donaghmoyne 2-11 Tyholland 0-12 16/9/18
Donaghmoyne booked their place in the IFC semi-finals with a five-point win over Tyholland at Gavan Duffy Park, Monaghan last Sunday. First-half goals by Pádraig Donaghy and David Garland set Donaghmoyne on their way, although Tyholland came from five points down to draw level after 41 minutes. The north-Monaghan side failed to add to their tally in the remaining 20 minutes, however, while Donaghmoyne hit the last five points to advance. Corner-forwards Donaghy and Garland hit 2-7 between them for Donaghmoyne, who could afford to have a penalty saved and still go through.
