Cremartin 0-17, Eire Og 2-9.
The introduction of substitute Paddy McNally just before half-time had a marked effect on Cremartin’s push for victory in the second-half of this entertaining contest with his 6 points, 4 from frees playing a vital part in the eventual outcome in Scotstown on Saturday evening last.
This was a game where fortunes changed hands on a number of occasions, Eire Og getting off to a great start with 3 early points and Cremartin battling back to parity after 21 minutes, but Eire Og edging the situation by a point at half-time, helped by a goal from Conor Leonard.
Cremartin took a slender lead in the early stages of the second-half, helped by the accuracy of substitute Paddy McNally but by the start of the final quarter a 2nd goal had Eire Og a point in front.
5 points without reply between the 17th and 26th minutes had Cremartin 4 points in front with Eire Og fighting back for 2 late points to make for an exciting finish as Cremartin held out for victory.
