Monaghan Kelloggs Cul Camps continue to excel
Week 3 of our Kelloggs Cul Camps seen our coaches travel to Eire Og, Ballybay, Aghabog, Killanny & Truagh. Over 750 boys and girls from the ages 5 to 13 participated in the 5 venues held throughout the county. Again the weather played its part with only one day out of the 5 seeing some rain. But this did not dampen spirits, with all involved enjoying the fun games & the mini leagues played throughout the week. Monaghan Coaching & Games Development would like to thank the host clubs for their support/assistance in ensuring the camps ran smoothly during the week.
Also 21 boys and girls from the 5 camps got the opportunity to play at half time of the Monaghan V Kerry match in Clones. It what was surely a memorable occasion for the kids, it was a nice opportunity to reward some of the children who attend and support the Kelloggs Cul camps. See below a photo of the participants and coaches.
Also during these camps we had our U17 county minor captain Ogie O Duffaigh showcasing the Fr Murray Cup (Championship) & Corn Seamas MaGuiginn (League) that our minors had won this year. Ogie was joined by some of his teammates, some of which are working on the camps this year. The players and the cups were a big hit with the participants, with a number of these players attending these camps themselves a number of years back it was nice to be able to make a link between the camps and these players going on to represent their county. We would like to thank Ogie and his teammates for attending the camps during the week and wish them all the best in the All Ireland Qualifier against Kildare at the weekend.
Online Deadline for Doohamlet Camp closes tomorrown at 12 noon
The fifth and final week of Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camps for 2018 begins next Monday in Doohamlet. This will be the first time this club will HOST a camp in their club, so if you want to be a part of prestigious event please book ASAP!!
The online registration and manual registration for these four camps ends at 12 noon on Friday. You can register your child for the camp by logging into the Kellogg’s Cul Camps website (Click Here). For Manual Application Form, you can get one here.
If you have not booked your child’s place already, please book your place so we can ensure there is a kit for your child at the end of the camp they attend. Kits are at a premium, and soon we will be unable to guarantee children will receive their kits during the camp due to the huge demand on all our camps.
The price for attending the camps is the first child costing €60, the second child €50 and every child after that €40. Children who have already completed a Kellogg’s Cul Camp and would like to attend a second one can so at a reduced cost of €35 per child. They will just not receive the kit and backpack for the second camp.
The camps will run from 10pm – 2.30pm each day, with plenty of breaks and stoppages throughout the day, especially for the younger age groups.
If you have any questions about the camps, you can either contact the county coordinator Paul O’Connor (developmentmanager.monaghan@gaa.ie/ 086 837 4827) or any of the local camp coordinators (their names and numbers can be found on the application forms and posters) and they will be glad to help.
