Monaghan GAA announced last night a major sponsorship partnership with Monaghan and Californian based company Entekra. The partnership will last for an initial 3 years and will mean that in this period the Monaghan GAA Centre of Excellence in Cloghan will now become known as the “Entekra Monaghan GAA Centre of Excellence”
Entekra™ is a design, engineering and manufacturing company that provides a fully integrated off-site solution (FIOSS™) for both residential and commercial construction in the US market. The company’s main design and engineering department is based at its European Headquarters, which is located in Monaghan town. The company’s manufacturing base is located in Ripon, Northern California, where they plan to build a second large scale fully automated manufacturing facility, which will be operational in Mid-2019.
The Entekra Monaghan GAA Centre of Excellence was opened for the first time in May 2008 and consists of 5 floodlit pitches. The buildings were extended in November 2013 and now there are 8 dressing rooms, meeting rooms and canteens as well as offices for the coaching and administrative staff. The Centre is used by all levels of the GAA in Monaghan and further afield. It’s situated in the townland of Cloghan, Annyalla and lies just off the N2 road between Castleblayney and Clontibret.
Speaking at the launch last night Chairman of Monaghan GAA, Michael Owen Mc Mahon was delighted with the announcement “As Monaghan prepare to enter the Super 8s I’m delighted that a multi-national company of the stature of Entekra with a strong base in Monaghan have come on board as the official naming partner of the Centre of Excellence. We in Monaghan GAA look forward to this being the start of a long and fruitful partnership with Entekra.”
Michael Treanor Chief Financial Officer of Entekra explained why the company got involved with Monaghan GAA. “Both Entekra and Monaghan GAA share a common ethos to strive for excellence. Entekra is a design, engineering and manufacturing company that promotes excellence in our people and in our off-site solutions, therefore getting involved with the Entekra Monaghan GAA Centre of Excellence is an ideal partnership as the whole community of Monaghan GAA work hard here to strive for excellence both on and off the pitch. We are entering into exciting times for both Entekra and Monaghan GAA, and we look forward to a strong partnership for the coming years ahead.”
