Club Previews (June 1-7)

With the county’s senior footballers and hurlers in action over the weekend, the club schedule is dominated by reserve competitions.

 

There is a local derby between Killeevan and Clones in the Eurotech Junior Football League on Wednesday.

 

The second Platinum Tanks Reserve Football Championship McKeown Cup semi-final is down for decision on Friday night, with Currin and Inniskeen battling it out for the right to face Oram in the decider.

RFL Division 1A leaders Scotstown are away to Magheracloone on Saturday, while Donaghmoyne and Latton host Truagh and Clontibret, respectively. Castleblayney host Monaghan Harps in Division 1B on Friday, with fellow joint-leaders Killanny away to Emyvale on Saturday, when the other fixture is between Cremartin and Aughnamullen. Division 2A joint-leaders Ballybay meet Seán McDermotts on Wednesday, while the Division 2B fixtures are Clones v Éire Óg on Friday and Aghabog v Corduff on Saturday. Seán McDermotts and Rockcorry meet in Division Three on Friday.

 

Holders Scotstown are away to Castleblayney, while Truagh, Clontibret and Monaghan Harps have home advantage against Latton, Aughnamullen and Magheracloone, respectively.

The Crawley Cup fixtures are Carrickmacross v Seán McDermotts, Clones v Éire Óg and Doohamlet v Drumhowan

 

Clontibret host Craobh Rua, Camlough in the Silver Hill Farm Senior Hurling League on Tuesday. Thursday’s action centres on the Silver Hill Farm Development Hurling League, with Truagh up against Castleblayney and Carrickmacross travelling to Camlough.

 

The juvenile football competitions also continue this week, with U-13 Football Championship action on the agenda.
