Monaghan GAA would like to wish the Carrick, Clones and Tyholland clubs the best of luck at this weekend’s Féile Peile na nÓg  taking place in Down, Louth and Meath. Also good luck to  Truagh ladies who will be taking  part in the Ladies competition.

Carrickmacross

All arrangements have been put in place as the Emmet’s team under the management of John McMenamin (Jnr) head for Feile this weekend to play against some of the best underage clubs in the country. This festival is about young people celebrating their love of Gaelic Games, bonding communities, allowing friendships to be made, providing educational opportunities and above all having fun. The Emmets club will compete in division 3 and  they are being hosted by St Peter’s Dunboyne and they look forward to spending some time in the Royal County. The first game on Friday evening is against Trim (Meath) at 5pm in Trim followed at 6-30pm with a game against Fr Casey’s (Limerick) On Saturday morning the group stages conclude with a game against host club St Peter’s Dunboyne at 10am in Dunboyne when hopefully the Emmets will have qualified for the next phase. Clones will be competing in Division 7  and are being hosted by the Oldcastle club in Meath. Their fixture schedule is as follows

Boys Quarter Finals in Dunshaughlin at 2.30pm or 3.30 depending on placing.
