Schools: Good luck to Thomas Croarkin, Conor McCrystal, Jamie Shields and the St. Macartan’s College MacRory Cup team in their play-off against Omagh CBS in Augher on Thursday.
County: Good luck to Neil McAdam and the Monaghan senior footballers as they start their Allianz NFL campaign against Mayo in Clones this Sunday.
Awards: Congratulations to Kevin Treanor on being inducted into the Monaghan GAA Hall of Fame at the county awards night last Friday. Well done also to Jason McAndrew from the Harps Hurling Club on his refereeing award.
Dates to remember: Our juvenile presentation night takes place this Friday. Monaghan Arch Club will return to Gavan Duffy Park for their annual visit on Thursday, February 15. Our Saturday-morning coaching for juveniles will kick off in late March and our juveniles will again be taking part in the St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Scór: Scór Sinsir takes place at the end of February. Anybody wishing to participate in or help out with Instrumental Music, Ballad Group, Solo Singing, Recitation, Dancing or Stage Presentation is asked to contact our Cultural Officer Joe Ó Gallchóir at 086 3048242. The Scór Quiz for Under-17 and Over-17 takes place in a table-quiz format in late January. The club hopes to enter a team in both sections. If you are willing to be part of a four-person team, please contact Joe.

Handball: Congratulations to the Harps juvenile handballers on their recent county final success and good luck to all involved this weekend/.
Coaching: We intend to run a Child Protection course and a Foundation Coaching course in the coming months. Keep an eye on club notes for details. See monaghangaa.ie for more details of upcoming coach education courses in Cloghan.
Refereeing Course: Monaghan GAA are hoping to run a referee training course this February. If you are interested in becoming a referee, please contact Club Secretary Val Forde (secretary.monaghanharps.monaghan@gaa.ie).
Stewards Training Course: A training course for match-day stewards is being held in Cloghan on February 2 and 3. All event stewards must be trained and this course is being offered free of charge.
