Coaching Workshop

Last Night (Thursday 4th January), Monaghan GAA Coaching & Games delivered two coaching workshops targeted at coaches working with teams from u16 level through to Senior level.

The first workshop of the evening was delivered by current Monaghan Minor (u-17) Manager Seamus ‘Banty’ McEneaney, who delivered a very detailed and insightful workshop on the Role of the Manager. It was an invaluable experience for club coaches  to take on board information from a man who has experienced managing teams at all levels of the game.

The second workshop of the evening was a practical outdoor session focused in developing players skill levels, fitness, decision making and game understanding. This workshop was delivered by current Scotstown Senior Manager Kieran Donnelly. This was a very worthwhile experience as coaches got to see a quality session being delivered, and were able to see different variations to drills and games which will further enhance their coaching knowledge.

Many thanks to Seamus and Kieran for sharing their experience and knowledge with us, and also to the coaches who attended on the night. A big thanks also to the Development Squad players who attended on the night.
