2017 Scór na nÓg Ulster Semi – Final Result

Despite the snow and ice our County Champions made their  way to Swatragh on Sunday for very tight evening of competitions with Counties Doire, An Dun, Fear Manach, agus Aontroim . The Drumhowan Rince Foirne glided through the High Caul Cap, then Katie Boyle form Achadh Bog kicked off the Solo sing  with a beautiful song in waltz time, and Eoghan Flood’s scealaiocht  was superb referenceing the County Monaghan Legend Big Tom several time. The Geal Truicha Ballad Group sounded like sweet Little birds with their renditions of The Leaving Of Limerick & World Turned upside down they even fitted in a bit of jiving at the end of the evening so fair play to the girls . The Latton very talented Ceol Uirlise get better every time I hear them there tunes were so captivating they even changed instruments during the sets of tunes . Finally we came to Rince Seit and the movement of the  Drumhowan ladies was impeccable. The competition was very high on the night with one competitor from Monaghan Katie Boyle Amhranaiocht Aonair heading through to the Ulster Final in Downpatrick in January. Comhghairdeas to everyone who represented their clubs and their County and to all the supporters that braved the snow and frost and headed to Swatragh.
