Ulster GAA are looking to provide an opportunity to clubs who have small numbers at U14 and U16 to play games and hopefully then will keep the Players involved so they will come through at Senior level.
A pilot initiative was delivered last year with Derry and Tyrone Clubs(U-16) who were finding it very difficult to field at certain age levels without joining with another Club, where they had 4 Clubs take part and they really seemed to enjoy the day.
The Meadowbank Arena in Magherafelt is the location for the games, for 6 Saturdays at the start of the New year:
It will run at U-14 & U-16 Level and open it to the 9 Counties on a 1st come 1st served bases,
Maximum per day—15 Teams(1 Team per Club)—3 Playing Areas in Total
Starting Time—12.45pm to 3pm
Clubs can take part in as many Blitzes as they want.
There could be a small charge to cover cost of hiring the Facilities.
The dates are
U-14—-20/01/18, 10/02/18, 10/03/18,
U-16—-27/01/18, 24/02/18, 24/03/18
