Congratulations to 5th year student Louise Kerley who has been named on the 2017-2018 All-star team for the second consecutive year.  This is a very prestigious award and a fantastic achievement for the Donaghmoyne native.  Louise who is joint captain of the school senior team has also enjoyed Ulster and All-Ireland success with her club Donaghmoyne. The school community is very proud of Louise’s achievements and wish her every success in her sporting endeavours.

Six players were selected from the school senior team to attend trials along with 130 others which took place at the Peace Link in Clones. Those six players also included the very talented Karla Lambe, Hannah Carolan, Áine Loughman and Amy & Lauren Garland.  All six impressed the coaches and were invited back to Cookstown for the second round of trials.  The selectors had a very difficult job to choose from 75 player who attended last Tuesday.

The Carrickmacross girls hold an excellent record when it comes to All-Star success, with St. Louis being represented on All-Star teams since 2011.  Our first Stars chosen at the inaugural awards were Laura McEnaney and Barbara Ward.  Barbara picked up her second in 2012 along with Ciara McDermot.  Lauren Jones & Holly Lynch also picked up back to back All-Stars in 2014 and 2015 and Eva Woods in 2016. Louise now adds 2017 and 2018 to St. Louis’ All-Star roll of honour.
