McElvaney Waste & Recycling Intermediate Football Championship Semi-Final
Carrickmacross 5-17 Tyholland 1-8 23/9/17
Carrickmacross cruised through to the IFC Final with a comprehensive win over Tyholland in Inniskeen. With Stephen Gollogly on form and Seán Downey getting the first of five Carrick goals, the Emmets were 1-12 to 0-5 up at half-time and they started the second half with a glut of majors from Kevin O’Hanlon, Aaron Lynch and Gollogly (from a penalty). Carrick continued to dominate, with Stephen O’Hanlon adding their fifth goal and although Shane Treanor fired to the net late on, it was little consolation for Tyholland. Carrick’s final against Aughnamullen will be their second appearance in three IFC deciders.
