U21 DIVISION 2 FINAL.

Latton 1-14, Scotstown 0-12.

Latton staged an increasingly effective second-half performance to clinch the under 21 division 2 title in this entertaining if at times scrappy final that was played in blustery conditions in Threemilehouse, on Thursday evening last. At the end of a closely contested 1sthalf Latton led by a single point but driven on by Stephen McCabe in particular with good support from Conor McCabe and the Quinns in midfield, they outscored Scotstown by 9 points to 5 in the second-half for an overall deserved victory. Scotstown though had their moments but missed opportunities cost them dearly in both halves while Latton came more to terms with the difficult wind in the second-half to open a 6 points lead entering the final quarter and while Scotstown pushed the issue to the very end they never looked like getting the goal that would help them turn it around.
