This July, Monaghan Coaching & Games ran Kelloggs Cúl Camps across 18 different venues throughout the county. We saw record numbers attending our camps this year. To put this into perspective, last years camps saw 2789 participants take part whilst this year we had 3115 participating. Across the 18 camps, 8 of the camps had over 200 participants.
Monaghan Coaching & Games would just like to thank each of the host clubs in helping us promote the camps and help with the organisation and clean-up at each camp. It was evident a lot of work was put in by each and every host club in promoting the camps in their locality. The clubs also provide excellent facilities and accommodate the storage of equipment throughout the camps, which is very much appreciated.
We would just like to pay particular thanks to all the host club Coaching Officers who distributed application forms, put up posters and signs, shared posts through social media and attended meetings in relation to the Cul Camps. All your hard work does not go unnoticed and we thank you for the excellent promotion of our games to the younger members of our community.
We would just like to thank all our coaches and assistant coaches who worked on the camps. It was evident that they all brought something new and different to the camps which the children really like. The coaches play the most important role in ensuring all the children enjoy the camps and come away each day with a smile on their face. We would just like to thank all those who helped out on Monday mornings at the registration on the camps . Also to our camp co-ordinators Colin Malone, Ann McKenna, Martin Corey, Rory Beggan, Conor Fadian and Aidan Morgan who put in tireless work all week.
We still have a number of 4A kits and a small number of bags available for sale. This merchandise will be available for purchase at the GR8 Entertainment Go Games in Clones on Saturday.
