UNIVERSAL GRAPHICS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.
Eire Og 2-9, Drumhowan 1-6.
Two goals in the early minutes of the second-half were the scores that helped Eire Og to a deserved victory in this low-key, scrappy and at times niggly affair that was played in bright but breezy conditions in Scotstown on Saturday evening last. Eire Og who were the more dominant and more imaginative team for the bulk of this match, were only headed once in the entire contest and that after 6 minutes when Drumhowan opened their account with a goal but by half-time Eire Og had turned that around to lead by 3 points. By the end of the 3rd quarter Eire Og were 9 points ahead and while Drumhowan battled to the end indiscipline cost them dearly and the best they could manage was to reduce the deficit to 6 by the full time whistle.
