UNIVERSAL GRAPHICS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Oram 1-11, Aghabog 1-9.

Oram got their Junior championship campaign off to a winning start when they edged past Aghabog in this closely contested yet fairly low-key affair that was played in blustery conditions in McKeown Park, Drumhowan, on Saturday evening last. 2 points in stoppage time were the scores that got Oram over the line as the game built to a fairly frenetic finish after the sides had been level 4 times in the second-half and the lead changing hands on a couple of occasions. Oram got off to the better start and opened a 4 points lead before Aghabog opened their account with a goal in the 13th minute and by half-time they had forged ahead by a point. Oram regained the lead early in the second-half but with 7 minutes of normal time remaining Aghabog had opened a 2 points lead and looked as if they could take the result. However Oram wiped that out with a late goal and while Aghabog fought back to parity in the final minute of normal time Oram struck for 2 points in stoppage time to seal a hard earned victory.

Aghabog finished the game with 14 players after Gary McBride was sent off on a red card.
