PLATINUM TANKS RESERVE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: CRAWLEY CUP FINAL.
Sean McDermotts 1-10 Ballybay 0-9
Sean Mc Dermotts made it back to back Crawley Cup wins with this 4 points victory over Ballybay in this entertaining contest that was played at sun blessed Pairc Mhuire Rockcorry on Saturday evening last. With the Pearse Brothers side entering the game unbeaten in the reserve league and having a mix of experience and youth on their side, they would have been seen as slight favourites even when going up against the defending champions. On the day though, it was Sean McDermotts who had the better game plan as they defended in numbers and hit Ballybay repeatedly on counter attacks. Sean McDermotts led by 5 points at half-time but while Ballybay came more into the game in the second-half they were unable to completely close the gap as Sean McDermotts held out for a deserved victory
