Rockcorry GAA welcomes Grangenolvin GFC, Athy. Co Kildare who will be playing in Division 10
Grangenolvin GFC is a small rural Junior Club in south Kildare. It is surrounded by the larger clubs of Athy, St Laurances and Castledermot and is bounded by the Laois and Carlow borders to the west and south respectively. The Club was founded in 1955 and is named after the townland of Grangenolvin, which is near the village of Kilkea. The magnificent 12th Century Kilkea Castle Hotel and Golf Club forms the central focus point of the area. The club grounds, Murphy Memorial Park, are located at Grangemellon just 3km south of Athy town. Despite having a tiny population base Grangenolvin GFC continues to have huge success at underage level drawing principally from the local primary schools of Ballyroe, Kilkea and Levitstown.
